What is LeathrX™ actually made of?
It's a hybrid material — high-strength performance silicone formulated to look and feel like premium vegan leather, then embossed with a leather-grain texture. You get the warmth, grip, and aesthetic of leather with the elasticity and impact-absorption of silicone.
Is it real leather?
No — it's a vegan leather alternative. No animal materials. The look and feel are leather-inspired, but the material itself is engineered silicone.
Does the Camera Control button work through the case?
Yes — the case features a precision-cut Camera Control button cutout. Apple's full Camera Control functionality (light press, full press, slide gestures) works as it does on the bare phone.
Will the embossed texture wear smooth over time?
The pattern is embossed deeply into the LeathrX surface, not printed on top. With normal pocket and handling use, it holds the texture well. Heavy abrasion will eventually flatten any textured surface, but the wear is gradual.
