Ultra-Slim or ProGuard — which Pitaka case?
Ultra-Slim is the minimalist choice — 0.92 mm thick, 19 g, no TPU bumper. Best if you protect against scratches and minor impacts but don't drop your phone. ProGuard adds a TPU bumper and aluminium camera ring for serious drop protection (MIL-STD 810H), at the cost of slight extra bulk. Ultra-Slim is for the form-conscious; ProGuard is for the worried.
How protective is it really at this thickness?
Aramid fiber has very high tensile strength, so the case shrugs off scratches, scuffs, and minor impacts. It's not designed for high drops — if you drop your phone often, the ProGuard variant or a Benks ArmorPro would protect better. Ultra-Slim trades drop protection for the thinnest, lightest premium experience available.
Why does PitaTap matter?
The iPhone 17 Pro's Camera Control button is pressure-sensitive — light press, half press, full press all do different things. Generic case buttons add a delay or muffled feel that breaks this UX. PitaTap is engineered to transmit pressure 1:1, so the camera shutter feels native through the case.
Will the woven pattern wear off?
No. The Fusion Weaving pattern is the actual aramid fiber weave — not a print, not a coating. It can't peel, fade, or rub off. After a year of pocket abrasion, the case looks the same as day one.
Does MagSafe work?
