How does hydrophobic leather differ from regular leather?
Heinen's hydrophobic process infuses lipids and oils into the leather fibers themselves — not as a surface coating that wears off. Water beads up and rolls off rather than soaking in. You can rinse it under a tap after a workout. Regular leather would stain and stiffen from the same exposure.
Is it really comfortable for workouts?
Yes — because the inside is FKM, not leather. The band feels like a sport band against your skin (cool, smooth, breathable) but looks like premium leather from the outside. Most hybrid leather bands have stiff or chunky interiors; this one is genuinely sport-comfortable.
Active Band Pro vs Modern Leather Band?
Modern Leather is full leather — the classic look, gets a patina, but you take it off for swimming and serious workouts. How do I clean it?
Rinse the FKM interior under running water after sweaty wear. Wipe the hydrophobic leather exterior with a damp microfiber. The leather can handle moisture but doesn't love long submersion — don't dive with it.

Fits 150–210 mm wrists. The buckle has multiple positions and the slide-out force resistance keeps it secure on smaller wrists too. Most users find their position within the first day of wear.
